Understanding Surrogate Compensation with Growing Generations

At Growing Generations, we know that most women do not become a surrogate for the compensation alone. Growing Generations has over twenty years of experience, and we understand that most successful surrogacy candidates are more interested in helping to create a family and fulfill a dream for others than they are in how to become a surrogate mother for money. Even so, compensated surrogacy allows women the opportunity to do things that they otherwise may find difficult. Some examples we’ve seen become possible for surrogates in our program include launching their own business, buying a car, putting a down payment on a new home, paying off debt, or the ability to stay home with their young children.

The total Growing Generations surrogate pregnancy compensation benefits package offers up to $63,000, with additional benefits up to $40,000. Our benefits package makes us one of the highest paying surrogacy agencies around. We use a flat rate-based compensation model based on trust and information our surrogates provide to us during their admissions process. The flat rate model is easier to manage than a line item-based benefit package which requires surrogates to constantly submit paperwork.

Our flat rate compensation model for surrogates looks like this:

  • $58,500 – First time surrogate mother compensation for working surrogates in California
  • $52,000 – First time surrogate mother compensation for stay-at-home moms in California
  • $53,500 – First time surrogate mother compensation for working surrogates in Colorado, Connecticut, Maryland, Nevada, and Oregon
  • $47,000 – First time surrogate mother compensation for stay- at-home moms in Colorado, Connecticut, Maryland, Nevada, and Oregon

Experienced surrogates and some surrogates residing in Southern California are compensated an additional $5,000-$35,000. Our surrogate candidates can also earn up to $4,000 in incentives during the application process.
