Hello! We are Tony and Brian.
We live in New Jersey and have been together for 5 years and married for 3 years. Tony grew up in New Jersey and Brian was raised in North Carolina. We met in New York City in 2012 on OK Cupid, an online dating site. We instantly hit it off because we shared many things in common like enjoying the outdoors, eating good food, watching movies and most importantly, having a family one day. After dating for a couple of years we moved in together, were engaged in early 2014 and were married in summer 2014 in Asheville, NC in front of our parents, siblings and family.
Having a family is important to us because we were both raised very family oriented. Brian has three older sisters and each has their own kids. Tony has one older sister with no children, but has many cousins with children so during family gatherings we always have a fun time. Growing up with a tight-knit family was special and we have many fond memories. We want to have the same type of family for ourselves, but recognize it’s going to be harder to achieve since we are a same-sex couple.
Fortunately, we have been through a successful surrogacy journey before and were blessed with a baby girl we named Chelsea. After three years of trying including one miscarriage in the first trimester we finally had the family we always dreamed about. We are very thankful to our surrogate who is one of the most amazing, kind and generous people we know. Our surrogate has since matched with another couple so we are looking for another surrogate to help us expand our family.
Chelsea has brought so much joy into our lives, more than we could ever have imagined. Being parents is rewarding and fulfilling. While we are lucky to have Chelsea, nothing would make us happier than to have another child and a sibling for Chelsea. We both grew up with siblings so we understand the special bond siblings have and we want the same thing for Chelsea.
We are looking for a gestational surrogate who wants to help us expand our family. Our ideal gestational surrogate is under 40 years old, healthy, and has successfully carried a baby to term with insurance. Our relationship with our previous carrier was wonderful and we kept an open communication where we mainly texted weekly and would be on the phone during regular doctor visits. We want to build another great, lasting relationship with our carrier and will do everything we can to make her feel comfortable, supported and appreciated.
We have seven tested embryos in our IVF clinic in Connecticut and are ready to start the journey again. We plan to transfer one frozen embryo.
